QUITMAN BULLDOGS – FOOTBALL
Quitman High School went 7–4 and enters its third cycle in 3A football with optimism. Head coach Trenton Corley, in his first year, is assisted by DC Josh Anderson, OC Terence Bobo and coaches David Johnson and Caleb Quinn. Corley writes that they graduated a strong senior class, including offensive lineman Jeremyah Green (now at Louisiana‑Monroe) and two‑time all‑state quarterback Jordon Moore‑Payne, but still have “a good amount of experience returning especially on the offensive and defensive fronts.” The staff looks forward to fielding “a highly competitive team” in the 3A‑2 conference.
Quitman’s 2026 schedule is posted via link, and the Bulldogs return five offensive starters. Senior tackles Caden Harneck (6‑3, 270) and Jacob Green (6‑4, 305) anchor the line, junior QB/WR Gabe Donohoo (6‑1, 165) posted 10 catches for 200 yards and two TDs and went 25‑for‑53 passing for 505 yards and four TDs, senior quarterback Jack Sexton (6‑5, 170) threw for 2,714 yards and 36 touchdowns, junior receiver John Waggoner and junior center Jaxton Peters round out the top group. Corley describes the offense as “Spread / Multiple,” an uptempo multi‑personnel attack.
Defensively, six starters return in a multiple front. Harneck doubles as DE/DT with 51 tackles, nine TFLs, three sacks and two forced fumbles, senior linebacker Malachi Goodroe (5‑8, 180) delivered 85 tackles and four TFLs, and Green at nose tackle, junior linebacker Dylan McThorn (67 tackles) and junior DB Gabe Donohoo (20 tackles, two interceptions, three PBUs and a fumble recovery) provide balance across the front and back end. Senior defensive end Braden Riley (6‑6, 240) added 35 tackles and four sacks. Corley calls the defense a “physically swarming” unit that emphasizes stopping the run first while being multiple on the back end.
Harneck is described as one of the hardest‑working, toughest players in Arkansas, a 6‑3, 270‑pound OL/DL who benches 315, power cleans 275, squats 525 and runs a 4.9 in the 40, with offers from Navy, Harding and Ouachita Baptist. Sophomore Jaydan Owens is an explosive WR/safety with track speed who has a chance to start on both sides of the ball.
