Maumelle’s Levi Warrior and Patrick Ward – Presented by Shelter Insurance

Maumelle High School

Coach: Nick Vaughn

Maumelle High School will build its 2026 offense around quarterback Levi Warrior and its defensive front around standout end Patrick Ward. Coach Nick Vaughn nominates Warrior as a 2.5-year starter and an exceptional leader who raises the level of play of everyone around him. Vaughn highlights Warrior’s “big time arm” and notes that he can make every throw, giving Maumelle a passer who can attack all areas of the field. Warrior is described as a playmaker both inside the pocket and when extending plays, and Vaughn adds that there is “no doubt he is one of the best in the state.”

Ward anchors the defensive line as a major disruptor at defensive end. Vaughn calls him a physical run stopper who also shows elite pass-rush ability, making him a constant factor against both the ground game and the passing attack. Ward is labeled a playmaker and is projected to be one of the best defensive linemen in Class 5A. With Warrior driving the offense and Ward leading the front on defense, Maumelle expects strong leadership and high-level production at two premium positions in 2026.
