Charleston’s Maddix Terry – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by Shelter Insurance

Maddix Terry – Charleston High School

Maddix Terry has established himself as one of the most reliable offensive weapons in Arkansas basketball. A three-year starter for Charleston, Terry earned all-state honors last year while averaging 24 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, a combination that places him among the elite scorers and rebounders in the state. His scoring prowess combined with his rebounding presence gives Charleston a dual-threat frontcourt piece who can create advantages in both the half-court and transition. Terry’s great work ethic is evident in the consistency with which he produces, showing up night after night to impose his will on opponents.

Head coach Chad Haynes has built the Tigers’ identity around Terry’s reliability and scoring touch. “Maddix is a three-year starter and all-state selection who averaged 24 points and 8.5 rebounds a game with great work ethic,” Haynes said.

Terry’s 24-point average places him squarely in the conversation with the state’s top offensive talents, yet his 8.5 rebound average suggests he is far more than a perimeter scorer. Coming off an all-state selection, Terry enters his senior season with chip-on-shoulder mentality and the proven ability to carry a team offensively. As Charleston pursues postseason glory, Terry’s scoring punch and competitive fire make the Tigers a threat every time they take the floor.
