Jaci Hoyt – Woodlawn High School
Few players have put together a high school career quite like Jaci Hoyt. The Woodlawn senior point guard is a four-year varsity staple who has averaged 15.6 points, 3.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game throughout her tenure with the Lady Wolves. Her consistency and sustained excellence came into sharp focus during her junior season when she scored 516 points, pushing her career total well over the 1,000-point milestone before her senior year even began. That kind of scoring volume at the point guard position speaks to her ability to create her own shot while running the offense.
Head coach Autumn Lem has had the privilege of watching Hoyt’s four-year journey and understands the rarity of having a multi-faceted, high-volume scorer who still makes everyone around her better. “Jaci is a senior point guard and four-year varsity player who averages 15.6 points, 3.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds per game,” Lem said.
Hoyt’s longevity at the position is itself a testament to her commitment and skill. She has seen lineups change, teammates come and go, and different systems implemented, yet remained a constant source of scoring and direction. Her 3.5 assists per game illustrate her willingness to involve others, and her 4.5 rebound average for a point guard shows her willingness to value all aspects of winning. As she enters her final season, Hoyt aims to add a postseason run to her already-impressive ledger and cement her legacy as one of Woodlawn’s most decorated guards.
