Some careers are measured in moments; Ryan Allen’s at Mountainburg has been built on seasons. The senior playmaker has been a three-year starter for the Dragons, touching nearly every part of the offense while helping define the identity of a small-school program built on toughness and versatility.
His coach, Zach Dean, laid out the scope of Allen’s impact through his career numbers and accolades. “Ryan is a 3-year starter for our team. He rushed for 134 yds as a freshman (1 game), 1213 yds as a sophomore, 1650 yds as a junior, and 1444 yds as a senior. His rushing stats are 532 carries for 4441 yds. That’s 8.35 yds/carry for his career. His career passing is 138/262 for 1920 yds. Ryan was All State in football, basketball, and baseball his junior year. I think he has a good opportunity to be All State in football again this year.”
Those numbers read like a record book entry and tell the story of a true workhorse. Over four seasons, Allen gave Mountainburg explosive efficiency on the ground and balance through the air, functioning as a dual-threat weapon every time he lined up behind center. The rare feat of earning All-State honors in three different sports underscores not only his athleticism, but also his competitiveness and ability to rise to big moments. He has already received his All-State honors for football. For the Dragons, Ryan Allen is more than a star player—he is the foundation of a memorable era, and the standard future Mountainburg athletes will be measured against.
